THE KRAKEN - PRO-E. Wheel Destressing machine
The new kraken PRO-E is our flagship machine for the professional wheelbuilder! Our newest pro version is the outcome of a decade of daily use and of joint development by professional wheelbuilders around the world.
It is a must-have legal machine* for professional wheelbuilders that want to achieve the highest quality wheels and help eliminate aftersales service work such as tension loss or re-alignment of wheels due to inadequite manual destressing procedures. Another big advantage is that machine helps eliminate the high fysical demands of manual destressing.
The Kraken PRO-E is handbuilt with the highest quality components availabe** and compatible with wheels in all common sizes and all disciplines from lightweight (racing) to heavy (E-bike and enduro).
Procedure description:
When starting the destressing procedure, the user simply sets the desired set pressure (endforce in table) and places the wheel on the support. One of the included set of Delrin® adapters can then be easily snapped on to the aluminium pressing shell to fit any hub geometry or to press on the spokes directly, as chosen by the user. When ready to start destressing, the OSHA/ISO certified 2-hand safety control system requires both command buttons to be pressed within 0,5sec of each other and helt during the entire procedure. A smooth and degressivly regulated destressing procedure will follow, allowing the user to monitor and stop at any chosen time until the max. set pressure is reached. If one or both buttons is released, this will act as an emergancy stop and the procedure will be aborted immidiately.
Commonly, the procedure is repeated at least two times on each side of the wheel during a build.
The PRO-E offers an 'Auto' function that can be activated. In this function, the user can choose 1 or 2 minutes duration. After activating, the machine will automatically destress the wheel and release after the operation is completed. This is ideal when following carbon and woven spoke destressing potocols. In the meantime, the wheelbuilder saves time every destressing opetration.

* Important remarks:
Machines clearly distiquish from static tools. A machine must always comply to CE, OSHA (or local equivilant) safety regulations and certifications. This also applies for self-made or self-imported machines for in-company use, though it is a persistant myth amongst wheelbuilders that this would not the case.
